Philadelphia fell short to the St. Louis Cardinals in the latest game as they lost 4-3 in extra innings, even though they had ten hits opposite the Cards’ four.

Zack Wheeler (2-2) will be on the mound for the sixth time this year. He already faced the Mets this season and was credited a loss after allowing three runs on ten hits over 6.1 innings. The 30-year-old righty is looking to improve on that performance, and at the moment, he has a 3.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 35 strikeouts in 31.2 innings.
