New-look teams face off in the Bronx

The Yankees just traded for Frankie Montas and Scott Effross in a move that signaled a World Series or bust. They are 70-34 on the season and have a 12 game lead in the AL East. They have won six of their last ten and are coming off a win over the Mariners.

The Mariners are now 55-49 on the season. They have lost two straight games to the Yankees and Astros. Things are looking up though as they just acquired All-Star Luis Castillo from the Reds.

Castillo will be making his first start for the Mariners here against the Yankees star ace Gerritt Cole. Cole is 9-3 on the season with a 3.30 ERA while Castillo is 4-4 but has a 2.86 ERA. This should be a good pitching duel but these offenses are too good to have this total sitting at only 7.5 runs. The Yankees rank first in almost every offensive category and the Mariners have a ton of starpower throughout their lineup in Julio Rodriguez and Carlos Santana.
