Nats visit division rival Marlins
The Marlins are 20-21 on the season and they have been hovering around the 500 mark all year. They are 5.5 games back of the Braves for first place in the NL East. They are coming off of a win over the Reds after having previously dropping two in a row.
The Nationals are last in the division at 18-23 on the season. They are playing much better than many people imagined though and this season seems like a good stepping stone to next season.
I like the Marlins in this one. They are just the better team right now and they will have the better pitcher on the mound in Jesus Luzardo who has been very good this season. I think the Nationals have over achieved for most of this season and the Marlins are going to take advantage of that, especially at home. Luzardo is 3-2 on the season compared to Josiah Gray’s 3-5. Look for the Marlins to win this game by multiple runs.
