Wow. The Cubs have now lost 10 straight games. They are now 23-40 on the season and are tied with the Reds for last place. Remember the Reds started the season 3-22 so the fact that the Cubs are tied with them is very telling. They just got swept by the Padres.

The Braves are on the opposite side of this. They won 14 straight games and are now 37-27 on the season. They are now breathing down the Mets necks in the NL East as they are four games back. Dansby Swanson’s breakout has been really helpful.

I actually think that the Braves are being undervalued here; only -175 is a bit small. 14 straight wins vs 10 straight losses I’m going to take the Braves to win this game here. For the over-under I’m going to take the over. Both of these guys have decent records as Charlie Morton this 4-3 and Keegan Thompson a 6-2 but their ERAs aren’t anything special. Morton has a 5.67 era and Thompson has a 3.67 era. I expect a lot of runs to be scored in this game especially by the Braves.
