MLB’s best team faces division rivals

The Braves are still the best team in baseball and have extended their lead on the rest of the league. They are now 80-43 on the season and have become the first team to 80 wins. They are 8-2 in their last ten games but are coming off of a loss.

The Mets are now 58-67 on the year. They basically gave up on the year as they traded away their top two players in Scherzer and Verlander away at the deadline. They are just 6-4 in their last ten games and are about to be in last place in the NL East. 

I love the Braves to absolutely destroy the Mets in this one. The Mets will be pitching David Peterson who is 3-7 on the season with a 5.45 ERA on the season. He has been horrendous this season. Allan Winans who is pitching for the Braves is 1-0 on the year with a 1.59 ERA in his two starts with the Braves this year. This Braves offense should destroy Peterson and I don’t expect Winans to just shut down and not continue his stellar play this season.
