Los Angeles Dodgers Overview
Clearly, there’s a reason as to why the Dodgers will be the heavy favorite through this entire series. It’s not just because they’re overall a better team, but more about how terrible the Diamondbacks are. However, the Dodgers should’ve been able to sweep the Diamondbacks in the last series but actually lost the first game 5-2. The Dodgers made up for it by absolutely obliterating the Diamondbacks 22-1 in the following game. The fact remains though that they shouldn’t take the Diamondbacks lightly.
The Dodgers haven’t announced their starting pitcher for the second game of the series but it shouldn’t matter much. You can check out some of the Dodgers versus Diamondback highlights from game one to see how they overwhelm Arizona. Los Angeles has the best overall pitching group in MLB. Pair that information with the fact that the Diamondbacks rank in the back half of the league in most batting categories. This ends up as a recipe for a Dodgers win.

What all can be said about one of the worst teams in the league. The entire season for the Diamondbacks has been tumultuous, and it’s only getting worse. We will say, they did a great job of sweeping the Pittsburgh Pirates in a three-game series. However, they don’t stand much of a chance here against Los Angeles.
Making the start at pitcher will be Merrill Kelly, who has a 7-7 record as a starter. Kelly will face the batting group of the former World Champions, with an ERA of 4.39. Kelly is 2-1 in his last three starts which should give him some confidence heading into Saturday’s game.
