The Brewers are in shambles right now. They have lost nine of their last ten games. Not only have they lost the division lead to the Cardinals but they are now a full 2.5 games back. They now sit at 34-29 and are slipping into the Wild Card race instead of the division race.

The Mets are now the best team in the NL by two games. They are the only team at 40 wins in the NL. Despite going through multiple injuries they are still trucking along. They are coming off of two wins over the Angels and the Brewers. They are now finally back at home in New York after that long Western road trip.

Aaron Ashby and Tyler McGill will be on the mound in this game. None of these pitchers are playing especially well right now.
