Mets look to extend lead in NL East

The Marlins are coming off of a 5-3 loss to the Mets. They’re inching closer to 500 as they are now 32-37 on the season. We told you guys his team was underperforming and now it looks like they’re finally progressing back to the mean. 

The Mets lead in the NL East has now dwindled down to 5 games. They had lost two straight to the Astros and before taking one from the Marlins. The Braves keep gaining on them. The Mets are now 46-26 on the season but are still holding on to first place in the NL.

I’m going to take the under in this game. I think it’s a little bit high for this one. The Mets will have David Peterson on the mound who has been really good this year with a 4-1 record and a 3.18 era. The Marlins will have Daniel Castano on the mound who is coming off of a bad start in his last start but before that had gone 10.2 Innings without giving up a run. I think this will be a low scoring affair.
