Mets look to build on series win

The Mets are coming off of a huge series win over the Braves. They are 55-34 on the season and are 6-4 in their last ten. They are coming off of a nice 2-1 series win over the Braves. They are now 2.5 games ahead of the Braves in the NL East. 

The Cubs are 34-53 on the season. They have lost five straight games and are at risk of falling into last place in the NL Central. They only have a one game lead over the Reds. 

The pitching matchup in this game is pretty even as Carlos Carrasco and Keegan Thompson will be on the mound. Carrasco is 9-4 with a 4.55 ERA and Thompson is 7-3 with a 3.04 ERA on the season. I think these pitchers will pretty much cancel eachother out but the Mets offense destroys the Cubs offense. The Mets are getting hot it seems like while the Cubs are fading.
