Marlins look to keep it going
The Marlins are on fire right now. They have won three in a row and four of their last five as they swept the Angels. This boosted them to 28-26 on the season and they are now second in the NL East and only 4.5 games back of the Braves.
The Padres are having a horrible season to start. After being making it all the way to the NLCS last season the Padres have started the season off 24-29 and are now fourth in the NL West. This team needs to figure it out fast.
I like the Marlins in this one. They are just playing really good baseball right now and they face a Padres team that has struggled heavily all season. Both of these pitchers haven’t been very good this season but for what it’s worth as of right now the Marlins do have the advantage as Braxton Garrett is at a 4.50 ERA while Blake Snell sits at 5.04 on the season. These two pitchers should struggle but the way this Marlins team is hitting behind Jorge Soler I just cannot pick against them.
