Marlins host one of MLB’s best
The Brewers are not 20-12 on the season. They are one of the MLB’s best teams but they are coming off of a really bad series loss to the Reds. They dropped two of three games for the Reds and the problem was really their defense and pitching. Their offense was stellar putting up 21 runs over the series but the reds put up 29 runs.
The Marlins are coming off of a big win over the Diamondbacks after the Diamondbacks had won five straight games against them. They blew the lead in the bottom of the eighth but then proceeded to score 8 runs in the top of the ninth seven of which came with 2 outs.
I’m taking the Brewers purely because of the pitching matchup. The Marlins will be starting Trevor Rogers who has struggled this year with a 5.00 ERA. The Brewers will be pitching Eric Lauer who has been stellar this year with a 3-0 record and a 1.82 ERA.
