Mariners Keep it Up 

The Mariners have had a brutal last two serieses, as they had to play the Astros and Yankees back to back, but they have come out surprisingly unscathed. They split the series with Houston, and won 2 of the 3 games in New York. They now have by far the easiest series matchup for them in a couple weeks. The Los Angeles Angels have lost six of the last 10 games including the second game in the series against Seattle. These two teams are in the same division and the Mariners have a 12.5 game gap over LA. The Angels will be sending out Tucker Davidson. Davidson was added to the Angels’ major-league roster on Wednesday and said he’ll enter the starting rotation during this weekend’s four-game series against the Mariners. Davidson was acquired from Atlanta on Tuesday and will quickly enter the rotation for his new team. The 26-year-old last pitched Sunday at Triple-A, so he could pitch on full rest during Saturday’s doubleheader or Sunday’s series finale in Seattle. The left-hander has given up 11 runs across 15.1 big-league innings this year and has a 4.59 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 96:24 K:BB over 15 starts in the minors.
