Mariners and Rays clash

The Mariners are having a pretty good season currently battling for the division. They sit 2nd with a 78-61 record. Only 1 game behind the Astros and with the Rangers only a game behind Seattle this division is anyone’s for the taking. They’ve split their last 10 and need to be in the winning column if they want to win this division.

The Rays have been one of the best teams in baseball all year but are still behind in their division. They sit in 2nd behind the Orioles at 85-55. They have won 7 of their last 10. They need to continue this form if they want a chance to close the 3.5 game gap that the Orioles have on them.

Take the Mariners in this game. Both these teams have a lot to play for in their respective division so it should be a battle. The Mariners have the edge in pitching and that should help them take this one. The odds are even so this could go either way. Kirby has been good for the Mariners posting a 3.39 ERA and 18-7 record.
