The Padres are coming off of a 4-1 win over the Cubs. They have been incredible this season without Fernando Tatis Jr. They are 38-24 and are now tied with the Dodgers for first place in the NL West.

The Cubs are having a horrible season. They have now lost seven straight games and have dropped to 23-37. They are just not a good team this season and need to rebuild. They now have the fifth-worst record in the MLB.

Kyle hendricks and Joe Musgrove will be on the mound in this game. Musgrove is currently the odds on favorite to take the Cy Young as he is 7-0 with a 1.50 ERA this season. He has only allowed one run over his last 27 innings. Caleb Killian will be pitching for the Cubs. He has only started once this season and went five innings while giving up no runs. He is no match for Musgrove in this one.
