In the previous series only days ago the Rockies lost the series two games to one. The final game was their only win of the series. They’re coming off a series against the Seattle Mariners in which they split the series one game to one. Now, after concluding game one of the series against the Dodgers, they face them again on Saturday. Although the Rockies have had a tough time beating the Dodgers, they faired well against the Padres. The First Pitch will be thrown out at 9:10 PM ET, quite a late game for those on the east coast. The game takes place in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium, and if you’re looking to watch, you can catch the game on MLB TV.
The Dodgers are well ahead of the Rockies in the NL West but they’re a few games behind the leader. There are about three games separating the Dodgers from the San Francisco Giants, but a few wins in this series gets them closer. The score of the Dodgers vs Rockies final game in the series just days ago was Rockies 6, Dodgers 5. Making his third start at the mound for the Dodgers is Tony Gonsolin, who has a 1-1 record as a starter. Although he hasn’t made many starts, Gonsolin has an impressive ERA of 2.83. This gives us quite a bit of faith in his ability. More importantly, he’ll have tons of help on Saturday from the Dodgers batting lineup.
