Lopsided Affair
This is the first series that the Rockies and the Brewers have met up in the season. The lines for both these first two games that they have played to this point have been quite lopsided, with the Brewers opening up as more than two to one favorites in both games. The Brewers have answered those lopsided lines, but winning the first couple games by smaller margins than the lines would suggest. Only by a combined two runs to be exact. In our previous article in which we talked about the first game of this season series, we told you to smash the over of the run total, and if you would have followed us you would have made money as the first game ended with a final score of 5-6. Although the Brewers were barely able to beat the Rockies, that hasn’t changed much. The line for this game, as Milwaukee is once again a -201 favorite. The play in this game is easily the under of the run total, as both pitchers have had decent seasons as they both have six wins under their belt. Chad Cole will be coming off a game against the San Diego Padres in which he walked four hitters and allowed three runs on seven hits, while only posting two strikeouts. So expect him to look to take advantage against this Milwaukee Brewers team, who ranks 23rd in team Batting average. The same can be said for Brewers pitcher Eric Lauer, who was actually coming off one of his better performances where he went seven innings deep against the Giants. He will have to have a repeat performance of his last outing if he wants to keep the Rockies, who rank in the top three in team batting average and check.
For our expert Colorado Rockies versus Milwaukee Brewers prediction, take the under of the run total.
