Tonight will be the second series between the Seattle Mariners and the Houston Astros since the All Star break. In the first three-game series just a week ago, between these two teams, the Astros swept the Mariners pretty handily, winning the first game 5-2, the second game 3-1, and the third game 8-5. But since that series.The Mariners have won their previous two games, and the Astros have lost their last two. The Astros lost a couple of embarrassing outings against the poor Oakland A’s, and the Mariners were able to scrape together a couple wins against the Rangers. It’s no coincidence that as soon as their young star Julio Rodriguez returned, the Mariners were finally able to get a couple wins. And as he is in tonight’s game, I fully expect the Mariners to keep it close.
