Huge series in the Big Apple

The Astros are now 45-27 on the season. They are the second best team in the AL behind only the Yankees. They have a 10.5 game lead in the AL West. They are coming off of a walk off loss to the Yankees after leading the whole game. 

The Mets are now 47-27 on the season. They are also coming off of a walk off loss to the Marlins. They are the best team in the NL and lead the league in total runs scored. They now host the Astros in a big series and maybe a World Series preview. 

Last time that Verlander was on the mound for the Astros they were underdogs in a game against the Yankees and we told you to hammer them and they won. We’re going to do the same thing here. They are slight favorites then a game against the Mets. Verlander is the AL Cy Young favorite and he should not be doubted. He’ll be facing a lesser pitcher in Taijuan Walker who has given up at least a run in eight of his 12 starts this year. Verlander should be getting more respect here.
