The Giants are now 29-25 on the season. They have dropped to third in the NL West. They are coming off of a 5-1 loss to the Marlins on Tuesday night in San Francisco. The Giants are losing ground in the division and aren’t playing well.
The Rockies are in a bad slump right now. They had lost four games in a row before beating the Giants. They have only won four of their last ten games. The Rockies have now dropped to 24-31, 11 games behind first in the NL West.
Austin Gomber is on the mound for the Rockies and he is 2-6 on the season with a 6.54 ERA. In his last two starts he has gone 6.1 innings and given up 17 runs. He has been horrible. The Giants will have Jarlin Garcia on the mound. He has been pretty good this season with a 2.33 ERA in his relief appearances. I think the Giants will bounceback in this one and destroy Gomber.
