Giants chase AL West’s best.

The Giants are having a solid season at the moment sitting at 49-41 and 3rd in the division. They sit only 2.5 games behind the Dodgers and Diamondbacks and will look to challenge for the division with a strong second half. They had gone 4-6 in their last 10 before the break but will look to come out of the gates strong.

The Pirates are sitting with the exact opposite record at 41-49 and sit down at 4th in the NL Central. They were in a bit of a rough patch before the break only winning 3 of their last 10. If they would like to make a playoff push the Pirates need a strong second half.

Take the Giants in this one. With Oviedo on the mound the Pirates don’t win much as he sits with a 4.75 ERA and a 3-10 record. On the other side Cobb has been stellar for the Giants this year with a sub 3 ERA and a 6-2 record. The Giants have the advantage in all aspects here and should take this game handedly.
