Ok, let’s get to our Milwaukee vs Colorado prediction.

Inch Closer

The Milwaukee Brewers are fighting to keep their playoff dreams alive, but with every game played that dream window closes a little more. The Milwaukee Brewers were the leaders of their division for the vast majority of the season until the St. Louis Cardinals went on an absolute tear and not only took that top spot for them, but managed to put a seven game gap between themselves and Milwaukee. Milwaukee has since then been forced to turn their attention toward grabbing a wildcard spot as they currently sit two. Five games behind the Phillies for the third and final wildcard position. Milwaukee hasn’t been able to capitalize on a tough week and a half from the Phillies in which they won only four of ten. Milwaukee only managed to win five of their last 10 so only caught up half a game on Philly.

Lucky for Milwaukee they are going up against a Colorado team that has a 0% chance of making the playoffs as they have not had the best season but this is no game that they should overlook. Colorado is a great hitting team that actually needs the entire MLB in team batting average so they can definitely put up runs which is a big reason why the run total for tonight‘s game is 11 runs. Set to take the mound for Colorado is Chad Kuhl. Kuhl (6-8) was tagged with the loss against Atlanta on Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings.

Kuhl made it through three scoreless frames before giving up a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth. He was pulled after his 87th pitch and took the loss, as Spencer Strider dominated Rockies hitters over eight scoreless innings. Kuhl’s seven strikeouts were one below his season high, but he was again stung by the long ball, serving up multiple homers for the third time in his past four starts. The veteran right-hander has allowed at least one home run in each of his past eight starts dating back to the start of July.

He will be going up against Brandon Woodruff from Milwaukee who has had a much better season to this point. Woodruff has a 9–4 record with an ERA of 3.54. He also has 136 strikeouts on the year, and has been impressive.
