Fading Marlins visit Wrigley

The Marlins have now lost seven of their last ten games and going back further 13 of their last 18. They are now 48-58 on the season and are a full 10 games under 500. 

The Cubs are coming off of a nice win over the Marlins. They are now 42-63 on the season. They are now last in the NL Central but are within a game of the third place Pirates. 

Pablo Lopez will be on the mound for the Marlins in this one. Lopez is 7-6 on the season with a 3.41 ERA. He will be facing Drew Smyly who has a 3-6 record with a 4.42 ERA. Lopez will shut down this Cubs team that ranks 21st in runs scored. The Marlins can’t hit as they rank 24th in runs scored and I think that will help Smyly make a quality start here.
