Dodgers look to pick up wins against lowly Reds

 

The Reds have now lost four games in a row. They now own the third worst record in baseball. They are coming off of a series with the Brewers where they were swept. 

The Dodgers are in a fight with the Padres for first place in the division right now. They are tied with the Padres for first place in the NL West. They are coming off of a loss to the Guardians. They are now 40-25 on the season but still have the second best run differential in the league.

The pitching matchup in this game really favors the Dodgers on paper. Tyler Anderson will be on the mound for them and he has a 2.82 ERA with an insane 8-0 record on the season. Luis Castillo will be on the mound for the Reds and he has a 2-4 record this season. If you take a closer look though you’ll see that Castillo has been really good this season with a 3.33 era. Plus, in eight starts this season he has yet to give up more than three runs in a start.
