But for them, these pesky San Francisco Giants have been a giant hurdle to overcome. These two teams have matched up six times this year with the Dodgers taking the first two games. But since then the Dodgers have dropped the last three games to the Giants, and have only scored a combined four runs in all three games. Lucky for LA however, they were able to expel some Giants demons by winning their last game in this series 9-6. 

 

The Giants just won their first game in over a week, and it came against the Cubs. They had lost 7 games in a row including being swept by this same Dodgers team. The pitching matchup in tonight’s game is a stellar one between Andrew Heaney of the Dodgers and Logan Webb of the Giants. Although Heaney has only started five games this year, he has an amazing 0.47 ERA as he’s only allowed one run in those starts. His opponent Logan has started a significant amount more games, but has an equally impressive ERA considering the amount of starts at 2.91. The Dodgers are a great hitting team as they rank 3rd overall in team batting, compared to the Giants who rank 23rd.
