Now let’s get to our Los Angeles Dodgers vs Arizona Diamondbacks prediction.
LA LA LA
The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently the top seed in the playoff picture, end it is at this point of the season that some teams lead up play and end up dropping and losing their first seed spot but the Dodgers still have their foot on the gas if they have 1/6 of the last 10 games including two in a row and the first game against the Diamondbacks in this series. Tonight in the second game of the series we have a stellar pitching matchup. It will be between the National League All-Star game starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw, and fellow all star pitcher Merrel Kelly. Kershaw surrendered just one extra-base hit in the form of a two-run homer from David Villar to open the scoring in the fifth inning in his last outing. This was just the third home run allowed by the lefty in his last eight starts, and he has a 2.28 ERA and 0.82 WHIP over 47.1 innings during that span. Despite that success, the 34-year-old veteran has pitched six innings or more in just one of his last five outings.
The right-handed starter Kelly, had allowed just 10 homers through his first 27 starts this year, so this was an unusual struggle with the long ball. He still has a steady 2.94 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 147:49 K:BB through 171.2 innings.
For our expert Los Angeles Dodgers versus Arizona Diamondbacks prediction take the under of the run total.
