Division rivals face off in Philly
The Mets started off the season really well. They are coming off their first loss of the season though. The Mets won their first three games of the series against the Nationals before losing the series finale 4-2 on Sunday. The Mets have yet to give up more than four runs in a game as their pitchers shut down the Nationals who only averaged two runs per game over the series.
The Phillies are also coming off their first loss of the season. After beating the Athletics in their first two games they dropped the series finale 4-1 on Sunday. The Phillies’ offense is really stacked this year with reigning NL MVP Bryce Harper leading a group that includes Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber.
The Mets will be pitching Taijuan Walker in this one while the Phillies are pitching Ranger Suarez. I think the Phillies are due for an explosion after only putting up one run in their last game while the Mets have put up five in three of their four games.
