Diamondbacks Take On Division Leading Dodgers

The Arizona Diamondbacks were down after the MLB’s return from the All-Star game, but after winning 8 of their last 10, the D’Backs are once again staking their claim for a spot in the postseason. At 68-62, Arizona is 2nd in the NL West, 6th in the National League, and 12th in the MLB. The D’Backs are 12.5 games back from the Dodgers in the NL West, but Arizona is 5-5 against the division leaders this season. 

The Dodgers are nearly guaranteed to make the playoffs. At 80-49, LA is not only one of the best teams in the NL, but are the 3rd-best team in the entire MLB. In fact, the Dodgers are priced at +350 to win the World Series, the 2nd-best best odds in the league. LA went 7-3 in their last 10, but with the division title essentially wrapped up, Monday’s match up means a lot less to the Dodgers than it does the Diamondbacks. Arizona will come out swinging and I expect their heightened efforts to pay off in this one.
