Diamondbacks Finally Snap Losing Streak
The Arizona Diamondbacks will take on the Colorado Rockies in an NL West showdown. The Diamondbacks have dominated the series this season with a 6-1 record against Colorado. Arizona averages 6.7 runs, 9.9 hits, and 1.4 home runs per game against the Rockies, while Colorado averages 3.9 runs, 9.3 hits, and 0.6 home runs against the Diamondbacks.
Colorado’s record against Arizona is emblematic of how their season has played out. The Rockies are a lowly 45-73, putting them in last place of the NL West and the National League. It’s been a struggle all year in Colorado, and in their last 10 games, they won just 3 times.
The Diamondbacks are even at 59-59, but after such a promising start to the season, Arizona has fallen behind. They are 3rd in the NL West, 9th in the National League, and 18th in the MLB, yet they remain well ahead of the Rockies at 14 games up.
The Diamondbacks have been terrible in the 2nd half of the season though, winning just 7 games since the leagues return from the All-Star break. Arizona went 2-8 in their last 10, averaging 2.5 runs, 7.2 hits, and 0.8 home runs per game. Yet despite their struggles, the Diamondbacks have done very well against the Rockies, and I fully expect them to win the series opener against Colorado.
So for our Diamondbacks vs. Rockies expert pick, take the Colorado Rockies Moneyline on Tuesday.
