The Tampa Bay Rays currently have the last wild card spot in the American League, but if they don’t pick up their level of play, they won’t have it for long. Sitting at 55-49 with a win percentage of .529, the rays are only a single game ahead of the Guardians for that third wild card spot, but the Guardians have won six of their last ten games, and the Rays have only won three. They are coming off huge series against the Guardians and Orioles, two teams that are directly under them in playoff contention. But they were only able to get one win out of the four games in the Orioles series and only one win out of the three games against Cleveland. 

 

If you could extrapolate the raised last 10 games into an entire season, you would have the Detroit Tigers year. The Tigers have not been a good team and they’re still not a good team. They currently sit in fourth place of the American League Central Division with a record of 42-64 and have lost six of their last ten games.
