Dbacks Enter as Favorites 

Although at the time of this writing, the odds have not come out for this game, expect the Arizona Diamondbacks to be favored slightly. Neither of these teams have had an oppressive season to this point, but the Diamondbacks have been less bad. The Nationals currently sit in dead last in their division at 31-64, and have lost 9 of their last 10 games. The most impressive thing this team has done in recent memory has been one Juan Soto won the Home Run Derby during All Star Break. If the nationals hope to have a future, that won’t be a complete rebuild. They have to get their communications right with Juan Soto, who just recently turned down their offer for a 15 year contract. Although Soto has been having a relatively down year by his standards, he has been on a complete tear in the last month of baseball. Expect that to carry over into this game against the Diamondbacks, where the Nationals’ hitters are going up against Corbin. Martin, who will be making only his sixth start of this season and who has an ERA of 4.40.
