Cubs visit the Big Apple
The Yankees are in third place in the AL East. They are one of the better teams in the American League this year but they happen to be in the best division in baseball. They are playing decent baseball right now going 6-4 in their last ten games.
The Cubs are 40-46 on the season. They sit in third place in the NL Central. They were playing well up until recently as they have lost seven of their last ten games.
I like the Yankees in this game. They have their ace on the mound in Gerritt Cole. Cole has been great this season with a 8-2 record and a 2.79 ERA on the year. The Yankees will be facing Drew Smyly who has not been good this season and has especially struggled lately. In his last two starts he has given up 10 runs. The Yankees are the better team and should be able to take care of business in this one.
