Cubs Make it 4 

Although the game odds have not come out for tonight’s matchup between the Chicago Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays, expect the Blue Jays to enter as heavy favorites for a large number of reasons. First off, the Toronto Blue Jays currently have a two game lead over the Baltimore Orioles for the third and final wild card spot. This team entered the year with the expectation of making the postseason, and although they have slightly underperformed, they are still in that wild card spot and are a vastly better team than the Cubs. When it comes to the Wild card picture, the Chicago Cubs are a grand total of 15.5 games out of any contention in the National League, and that has been around where they’ve stuck the whole season. As the season gets closer and closer to coming towards an end, the Chicago Cubs have gotten closer and closer to having a 0% chance of making the postseason.  The second reason why the Blue Jays will be favored is that they already won the first game in this series, which handed the Cubs a third straight loss, and made win six of ten for toronto. Statistically, the gaps are apparent as well, as the Blue Jays are the third best hitting team in the MLB, while the Cubs rank 17th. When it comes to pitching, the Blue Jays rank 15th compared to the Cubs 23rd.
