Cubs look to stay hot against division rival
The Cubs are on fire right now. They have won eight of their last ten games and because their division has been so bad they are just 3.5 games back of the first place Brewers in the NL Central. They are now 34-38 on the season.
The Pirates are heading in the opposite direction of the Cubs. They have lost eight of their last ten games. They had the lead in the division but they are now three games under 500 and three games behind the division lead.
I love the Cubs in this one. They cannot be stopped right now and this Pirates team is in the middle of a downward spiral. The Cubs are also going to have the better pitcher on the mound in Kyle Hendricks who is 2-2 with a 3.18 ERA compared to Rich Hill who is 6-6 on the season with a 4.31 ERA. The Cubs team is too hot to not be a favorite against a fading Pirates team here.
