Colorado’s Rocky Season Continues 

The Rockies are gearing up to host the Yankees on Saturday for Game 2 of their 3-game series. 3 spots out of last place, Colorado is not expected to beat New York. The Rockies are last in the NL West at 34-57, and are 15 games behind the Yankees in the overall MLB standings. Giving up a horrendous 5.9 runs per game, and recording the second worst run differential at -147, the Rockies are one of the worst defenses in the MLB, and will struggle against New York’s power hitters. 

The New York Yankees are 49-42. They are 6th in the American League, but because of the highly competitive AL East, the Yankees find themselves 1.0 game out of last place in the division. The return of Aaron Judge can’t come soon enough, but I’m sorry Yankees fans, your 2022 AL MVP remains sidelined for now. But regardless of Judge’s absence, the Yankees will do fine against the lowly Colorado Rockies in this series.
