Cleveland Hosts Philadelphia For First Time In Four Years

The Cleveland Guardians and Philadelphia Phillies are gearing up for their first series in 4 years. The last time they played it was 2019 and the Guardians cleaned up, winning 2 out of the 3 games. But the Phillies lead the all-time series, which began in 2022, with an 11-8 record against Cleveland. The Phillies are 52-44 on the season and are 2nd in the NL East, while the Guardians are 47-49 and 2nd in the AL Central. This will be a close game between two evenly matched sides. 

I like the over in this matchup. It’s tough to call a winner in this one since they are so evenly matched. But I like the over because of what Cleveland did in their last series, where they scored 26 runs in just 3 games. The Phillies are coming off a 4-0 defeat, but it’s very rare to go scoreless in back-to-back games, which makes me think Philadelphia is going to pour it on, and the Guardians will be right there with them.
