The St. Louis Cardinals have been one of the present surprises of this season. They were huge underdogs to win the division, yet now are huge favorites to. They were huge underdogs to make the playoffs, and now seem poised to prove that wrong as well as they have a 98.2% chance of making the postseason.
They are entering tonight’s game having won 7 of their last 10 games, and are just a week removed from a 6 games winning streak. After taking 3 of 5 games from the Chicago Cubs, they had to travel to take on the very formidable Atlanta Braves. They dropped the first game 4-11, but then responded with a victory the next day. This team that many doubted are becoming impossible to deny.
The Reds on the other hand are impossible to support. They have one of the worst records at 50-76, and have had their fourth consecutive losing week of baseball. Cincinnati’s weeks won’t be any easier with matchups against these cardinals and brewers up soon on their schedule.
