Cardinals look to gain ground on Brewers

The Cubs had won six straight games before finally cooling off. They dropped three of four games to the Giants. They are now 41-60 on the season. They are still 7-3 in their last ten games and are third in the NL Central.

The Cards have won three of their last four games. They are now 54-48 on the season. They are still three games back of the Brewers for first place but they only one game out of a Wild Card spot.

I love this pitching matchup. The Cardinals will have the seemingly ageless Adam Wainwright on the mound. He is 7-8 on the season but has a very good 3.28 ERA. He is facing Keegan Thompson who has been surprisingly great this season with an 8-4 record and a 3.16 ERA. I think these two pitchers will have nice days. Thompson is coming off of a seven-inning shutout win while Wainwright is coming off of a seven-inning one-run win.

So for our Cubs vs. Cardinals expert play take the under 8 runs
