The Mariners have won 14 straight games. If they win one more they will own the longest win streak in the MLB this season. They are now 51-42 on the season and own the second Wild Card spot. 

The Astros are riding high right now. They are now 61-32 on the season after winning two straight over the Yankees. They are now only 2.5 games back of the Yankees for the best record in the MLB. 

Imagine a team that has won 14 straight games not being favored at home. That’s what happened here though as the Mariners are underdogs at home. This is because Justin Verlander is on the mound for the Stros. Verlander is 12-3 with a 1.89 ERA. He has been incredible. Logan Gilbert will go against him. He has been no chump himself as he is 10-3 with a 2.76 ERA. I can’t go against the Mariners here. They are at home and have their ace on the mound and have won 14 in a row.
