Can Sandy stop Marlin’s skid?

The Marlins were in the Wild Card race up until about three weeks ago. They are now 50-65 on the season and have lost four straight games. They have lost eight of their last ten. 

The Padres are coming off of a nice win over the lowly Nationals. They are now 65-52 on the season and are second in the NL Wild Card standings. They lost Fernando Tatis Jr. for the season though as he tested positive for PEDs.

Sandy Alcantara is now a -280 favorite to win the NL Cy Young award. He is 10-5 on the season with a 2.01 ERA. His record would look much nicer if he didn’t have one of the worst offenses in baseball behind him. Joe Musgrove will start for the Padres in this one. He has been no slouch himself has he is 8-5 with a 2.91 ERA on the season. Any game that Sandy is pitching I think the Marlins have to be favored. He is just so dominant and doesn’t need much run support. There is just too much value on the Marlins here.
