These National League Central rivals have had more than enough of each other and will match up once again tonight for game two of a three game series. The Cubs and Brewers have met 11 times this season, with the Brewers winning the season series so far with 6 wins compared to the Cubs’ 5 wins. So needless to say as you can tell by the clothes when differential these two teams can definitely beat each other. Although the season series has been close, their team records have been nowhere near that, as the Milwaukee Brewers currently sit at the top of the division with a 2.5 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Chicago Cubs sit in second to last in the division, only above the Cincinnati Reds. 

Jason Alexander is listed as the Brewers’ starting pitcher for Tuesday’s game against the Cubs in Milwaukee. Alexander made his last two appearances out of the Milwaukee bullpen, but he’ll be plugged back into the rotation this week with the team in need of a fifth starter after Adrian Houser (elbow) landed on the 15-day injured list Friday. Over his five starts prior to moving to the bullpen, Alexander turned in a 3.21 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 13:11 K:BB in 28 innings. Alexander will manage to put together a good enough performance to get the Brewers a win.
