Braves See the Light 

The Atlanta Braves are so close to taking the one seed from the New York Mets. The Mets have had claim to that spot for the entire season and the Braves cut it close after they had a stellar month of baseball a couple months ago, but then Atlanta had a mediocre month of August in which the Mets actually grew their lead on them once again. But the Braves have won eight of the last 10 games and all of the Mets have won six; it has helped the Braves close the gap. The Giants on the other hand are a team that has been eliminated since the playoffs and has only won five of their last time games. This game is a simple one it is between a team that is hungry to defend their title victory from last season and hungry to get into the playoffs as the number one overall seed, against the team that has nothing to play for other than playing spoiler there which sometimes is good motivation but not in this case. The Braves have series is upcoming against the Phillies twice so they have to take advantage of this series against the Giants as well as the series in between against the poor nationals. 

The pitching matchup in tonight‘s game is a good one between Kyle Wright of Atlanta and Jake Junis of San Francisco. Wright has had an amazing campaign this season as he has a record of 17–5 along with an ERA of 3.23. Junis has been pretty respectable himself as he has a record of 4–5 and an ERA of 3.89, along with 80 strikeouts. Junis will be entering and coming off of a loss and right is coming off of a win. To put it in perspective the run total of the first game in the series between the Braves and Giants was 11 runs but tonight it is all the way down to 7.5.
