Braves Drop Three Straight But Remain The MLB’s Best

The Atlanta Braves are 61-32, giving them the best record in the MLB. The Braves began the season as the favorites to win the World Series, and they have not disappointed. Priced at +350, Atlanta still has the best odds to win the title, but after going 5-5 in their last 10, and losing 3 consecutive games, the Braves are not looking as infallible as they once did. Don’t get me wrong, the Braves are certainly a top-tier team, but even the best can hit a wall every once in a while.  

The Diamondbacks are a solid team, but like the Braves, Arizona is facing hard times. The Diamondbacks won just three of their last 10 games, and averaged 4.3 runs over the same stretch. Despite the losing streak, I like the Braves in this one. They lead the MLB with 176 home runs, which equates to 1.89 bombs per game. Arizona ranks 21st in runs against, and I’m anticipating a big day at the plate for Atlanta.
