Boston Takes On The MLB’s Worst Team
The Boston Red Sox are last in the AL East, but with a 49-44 record, they are 25.0 games up on the lowly Oakland A’s. Boston is rolling having won 8 out of their last 10. The Red Sox are one of the best hitting teams in the MLB, coming in at 2nd for total hits, and averaging an impressive 9.1 hits per game. Boston, like most teams this season, will tee-off against Oakland’s lackluster pitching.
The Oakland A’s are 25-69, coming in at 30th place in the MLB. With a lowly win-rate of 26.6%, it’s always a risk to take the Oakland A’s moneyline in any given matchup. The A’s run differential is -252, as they have scored the fewest runs and allowed the most of any team in the MLB. They are clearly just trying to get through this year before leaving Oakland for good, and heading to Las Vegas to start anew. There is little motivation for the A’s to do well besides personal pride, but unfortunately they just don’t have the personnel to keep up with most teams this year.
So for our Red Sox vs. Athletics expert pick, take the Boston Red Sox Moneyline on Monday.
