Boston Drops Two-in-a-Row Against Athletics
The Boston Red Sox are 51-46, putting them at 4th place in the highly competitive AL East, and 6th in the American League, 8.5 games behind the leaders. The Red Sox won 7 of their last 10 games, but they are coming off back-to-back losses against the last place Oakland Athletics. Boston went scoreless on Tuesday, and lost 5-6 against the A’s on Wednesday. The Mets are also coming off a loss, as they snapped a 3-game winning streak after losing to the White Sox 6-2 on Thursday.
I like the Red Sox chances in this one. Averaging 6.6 runs and 9.9 hits in their last 10 games, Boston has been lighting it up from the plate. The Mets averaged just 4.0 runs and 6.7 hits per game in their last 10, and have struggled on the road this season, winning 43.1% of their away games. Boston is 26-22 at home, and will continue the hit party against Max Scherzer and the New York Mets.
So for our Mets vs. Red Sox expert pick, take the Boston Red Sox Moneyline at -107 for Saturday.
