This is a big series for the Phillies. This is a three-game series that may help them put some pressure on the Mets. The Mets are eight games ahead of the Phillies and seven games ahead of the Braves. The Phillies need to get back on track as they aren’t playing too well as they’ve lost seven of their last ten games.
The Mets have been one of the best teams in baseball this season as they sit at 29-17. They may be the second team to 30 wins as they are one of three teams with 29.
I’m going to take the Mets here. I’m getting good value at -125 right now and I think that’s way too juicy to pass up. The Phillies will be pitching Zach Eflin who in his last start against New York gave up eight hits and five runs in 4.1 innings. While the Mets will be starting Carlos Carrasco who in his last start against Washington gave up one earned run in 5.2 innings. The Mets have the better lineup and the better pitcher.
