The Marlins are having a decent season currently battling for a wildcard spot. They sit 3rd in their division with a 64-61 record on the season. They’ve split their last 10 but need a few more in the win column to grab that wildcard spot.

The Padres are not having the season they were hoping for after coming in with one of the highest MLB payrolls. They are down in 4th in the division with a 59-66 record on the season. Only winning 4 of their last 10 this team is going to need to turn it around soon to have any chance at the postseason.
