Battle of the Max’s

The Mets have won eight of their last ten games. They are 66-38 on the season and are now a full 3.5 games ahead of the Braves in the NL East. They are four games behind the Dodgers for the best record in the NL this season. They are coming off of a 6-4 win over the Braves. 

The Braves had won three straight games before dropping two in a row to the Phillies and Mets. They are now 63-43 on the season. They are the defending champions and seem to have a great shot to defend their championship come September.

This is an incredible pitching matchup as Max Scherzer will be facing Max Fried. They both have sub 2.6 ERAs this season and have a combined 17-5 record. This is definitely going to be a low total. Even though both of these guys are lights out I kind of like the over here. Both of these offenses rank within the top seven of most categories and they combined for 10 runs in last nights game.
