Battle in the Big Apple
The Mets are in shambles. They are crashing and crashing hard right now. They are now 31-35 on the season and are now fourth in the NL East and 9.5 games back of the first place Braves. They are now an abysmal 2-8 in their last ten games.
The Yankees aren’t playing too well themselves but they are still third place in the division. They have the fourth best record in the AL this season and they should compete for a Wild Card spot. They aren’t playing great right now as they are 4-6 in their last ten games.
I am going to take the Yankees here. I know the Mets have Max Scherzer on the mound but the Mets as a whole have been a dumpster fire over the last ten games and really for most of the season. Scherzer still has an ERA of 3.71 and has shown the ability to be hit around this season. The Yankees are the better team and the Mets shouldn’t really have much of a home field advantage in this one. This Yankees lineup should get to Scherzer and put up some big numbers.
