Battle for AL Central rages on

The Twins in the Guardians are in a deadlock for first place in the NL Central. The Twins are 38-31 on the season. They are coming off of back-to-back losses to the Diamondbacks and the Guardians. 

The Guardians are 35-28 on the season. They are 14-4 since the beginning of June. They have been one of the best teams in baseball over the last month. They are looking to overtake first place from the Twins for the first time all season. 

I like the Guardians to win this game. The Twins will have Devin Smeltzer on the mound who started off the season great, only giving up two runs over his first 17.1 Innings. Since then though he has given up 13 runs over his last 21 innings. The Guardians will have Zach Plesac on the mound. Plesac is coming off of four straight quality starts where he went at least six Innings and gave up three or less runs. I think this game goes under as Plesac will shut down this Twins offense and Smeltzer will give up a couple runs.
