The Phillies are having a decent season but aren’t in great form. They’ve fallen to 2nd in the division with a 57-49 record. They’ve split their last 10 and sit just ahead of the Marlins. This series is very important for the battle behind the Braves.

The Marlins had a great first half of the season but haven’t had a great second half. They are at third in the division with a 57-50 record. They attempt to reclaim their 2nd place spot with this series. They have won 4 of their last 10 and need to do a lot more winning to stay in this wildcard battle.
